When you think about formative childhood experiences, there’s no doubt that attending day camp over the summer is one of them. Unfortunately, some children can’t afford to go away to day camp over the summer. Erica Blue is changing that and helping inform families of all of the benefits that come with a stay at summer camp.
Let’s review.
Summer camp offers so many opportunities for children of all ages. First and foremost, summer camp offers children the opportunity to build social connections with others. While they might have the opportunity to do this in school, summer camp offers them the freedom to make connections in new ways. Whether it’s through a shared interest or a shared experience, there’s no doubt that your children will come away from summer camp with new friends and amazing memories.
In addition, summer camp often allows children to explore interests they may not have had a chance to in school. Things like performing arts, outdoor sports, and wilderness activities are great opportunities for your child to learn a new skill or find a new hobby while they’re at camp. In addition, they’ll have time and space to explore these new interests while they’re at camp.
